We are Edinburgh Health Economics: a team of Health Economists working within the University of Edinburgh, based in the Edinburgh Clinical Trials Unit (ECTU), which is part of the Usher Institute. Formed in 2016 by our Team Leader Dr Peter Hall, we are growing steadily.
We specialise in:
- Novel methods for economic evaluation of new technologies – particularly alongside clinical trials.
- We have a special interest in the use of Real World Data, administrative datasets and data science methods for economic evaluation.
Our research is a collaboration with clinicians, academics, charities and industry. We maintain our own research portfolio, aiming to improve health outcomes and health care within and outwith Scotland, through better use of economic techniques.
You can find out more about our work and the studies we are currently involved in on our Research page. You can find out more about our involvement in teaching within the university and further afield on our Teaching page.
